In order to undertake the diversion of power cables and removal of the Electricity Sub-Station, we will be closing Cromwell Lane between Red Lane and Hodgetts Lane.

A fully signposted diversion will be in place throughout the closures and access to all properties will be maintained.

Cromwell Lane will be open for pedestrian use at all times.

Our workforce may be on site one hour before and one hour after to set up and secure our equipment.

Our work is subject to change – for live traffic information go to our.website HS2 Website - In Your Area and please check on-the-road signs.

Parking Permits

Update:

September 2022
Here is another update from Tony  Ronneback:

Dear Neighbours,

Here is an update on the Council’s progress in moving all the city’s Car Parking Schemes to a new system called “TARANTO”. It is a huge exercise, apparently, and is taking a large amount of time to complete.

I previously spoke to the Council’s Parking Dept at the end of July because my Permit had expired and was advised that the move to “TARANTO” was progressing slowly and no accurate completion date could be given.

I called again on 2nd September for the latest information. Here is the current situation.

Those of us who have a Parking Permit Waiver Certificate to allow parking on Penruddock Drive and Bourchier Close must continue to display the Disc on our vehicle windscreen, even if it is out of date. It will have been automatically extended until 31st October, pending completion of the new Parking Scheme. The Council will have placed a temporary “Virtual Waiver” on “TARANTO” to ensure that parking is allowed for Permit holders during the restricted times. Anyone who parks during the restricted times without displaying a Permit Waiver Disc is liable for a Parking Fine.

No absolute completion date is yet known for the new system because there are still issues to overcome. When the Project is completed all Permit Holders will be informed and the required action explained.

I hope this information is useful.

August 2022
Here is an update from Tony  Ronneback:
I have just contacted Coventry City Council Parking Services, as I have heard nothing from them and it is almost the end of July.

Apparently, the date for the new scheme has been extended beyond the end of July but a new date is not yet known. Existing permits are still valid until further notice and there is a promise that the Council will write to us about the new scheme when the date is known.

This sounds very familiar !!!

May 2022

Tony Ronneback has been on to the Council again, as the last time he spoke to them they said that they would be contacting everyone re. the permits needing to be renewed after the end of June.  They are now saying they will contact us by the end of July.  Tony will be back at them if this doesn't happen!  I will post updates here and email everyone, as soon as I have updates.  If you are not on the email distribution list and would like to be, see our Contacts Page for details.  https://sites.google.com/view/willow-croft-residents/contact
